Our valued Liaisons will give their semi-annual updates on their various organizations and then join in a roundtable discussion of issues that are important to our Neighborhood and Community.
The Liaisons have been asked to be prepared to discuss the following topics:
- Tomorrow is Election Day! How do our Liason’s organizations address elections and outreach and are there ideas on changes that could improve community engagement?
- As the cost of housing rises, many of our neighbors are being forced to move to other parts of the Puget Sound area where housing is less expensive (e.g., Lakewood, Parkland, Burien, etc.). What is your organization doing to minimize the displacement of your least-wealthy customers?
- As the city plans for more people to move here, some current residents are concerned about losing the relatively high quality of life we currently enjoy. What’s your organization doing to maintain – or improve – the high quality of life we currently enjoy as we make space for more people?
