The Friends of Tacoma’s Cushman Substation were notified today that consideration of whether the nomination to place the Cushman Substation on the Tacoma Register of Historic Places be forwarded to the full City Council for approval has been postponed.
The City of Tacoma Infrastructure, Planning & Sustainability Committee was set to discuss the item at their April 12, 2017 Meeting, but it will be rescheduled for a future meeting, to be announced. See more info below or connect with Friends of Tacoma’s Cushman Substation on Facebook for updates.
“Chair Price and Mr. Ryan,
… I understand the NENC is very interested in the Cushman substation discussion originally scheduled for Wednesday. However, due to a lengthy agenda, a scheduling conflict, and the importance of this topic, we are planning to postpone this topic to another special meeting with a date TBD. Within the next week or two I expect.
I wanted to let you know ASAP since I know you plan on having members attend and didn’t want you to come down unnecessarily. I schedule the meetings so I will let you know as soon as it is set when this topic will be presented so that you can all attend. Please share with all those you think would be interested, and feel free to reply so that I know you received this message. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you very much.
