What might be the future for Historic
Cushman & Adams Substations?
Located at the intersection of N. 21st and N. Adams, the Cushman and Adams substations were built in the 1920’s to bring electricity from the Cushman Dam to Tacoma. Between now and 2027 when TPU formally surpluses these buildings and adjoining properties, the City of Tacoma is studying potential future uses for these building and sites. You can stay informed and join the mailing list, by going to the City’s website https://www.cityoftacoma.org/cms/one.aspx?portalId=169&pageId=159129
May 5th, you are invited to receive an update on the Cushman/Adams reuse plans, by attending our NENC meeting. At that time, a City representative will be available to give us an update and answer our questions.
