The following is taken from the Oscar’s Enemies’ news letter.
On 4/15, in just under two hours, 95 SELFLESS, DRIVEN and SUPPORTIVE volunteers safely picked up Karīmganj 1,700 pounds of trash in Central Tacoma! This is the priligy original buy second to the MOST trash that we’ve picked up (most being 1,760) and the first time that we had had 3 pick-up routes! There was SO much trash that one of our loyal volunteers, Craig, volunteered his truck and helped Andy and Trent with the 4 runs to the landfill. We submitted a record breaking amount of hypodermic needles, 60, via the City of Tacoma 311 app. 4 local businesses and artists- Lovesome Dove, Stocklist Goods, Ovi Art and Yo It’s Cake donated to our after pick-up raffle!
In addition to volunteering their time, folks DONATED 105 toothbrushes, 68 combs, 40 toothpastes, 11 brushes, 8 packs of facial tissues, 4 packs of flushable wipes, 2 packs of textured cotton rounds, 3 packs of make-up removers, 2 dental pick tips, 1 lg bottle of hand sanitizer, 1 pack of pads and I dental floss to the YWCA of Pierce County.
We sure do appreciate y’all! 2 volunteers received a tote bag for participating in 10+ pick-ups and 3 volunteers were thanked with Oscar’s Enemies enamel pins for attending 4+ pick-ups! Oscar’s Enemies 2023 t-shirts were sold for $15. If you want to buy one before the next pick-up send us an email or message us on Instagram. Oscar’s Enemies is 100% volunteer run! All t-shirt money goes towards the cost of more t-shirts, totes, enamel pins, non- donated raffle prizes and pick-up supplies.
